Drafts are an IMAP append into the Drafts folder - nothing leaves the mailbox. Sending needs the SMTP details below; Claude is told to send only a message you have explicitly approved, and to draft instead when unsure.

Comma-separated. The mailbox list is the allowlist: Claude can only name an address on it, and anything else is refused server-side. The denied domains win over the allowlist and cover sub-domains too - they exist so a mis-granted delegation in the Google Admin Console still cannot reach company mail.

Off means no send tool exists on the connector at all, so a leaked connector URL can only read.

Leave the super-admin blank unless you want Claude to be able to enumerate the Workspace's users. Being listed there does not grant access - only the mailbox allowlist above does.

Prepended to the connector's MCP instructions, so Claude knows what this API is for and how you want it used.

Permissions

Default-deny: a call is refused unless an allow rule matches. A deny rule always wins over an allow rule. Globs: * matches within one path segment, ** matches across segments.

Import endpoints from OpenAPI

Optional. If the API publishes a JSON OpenAPI/Swagger document, tick the endpoints you want and they become allow rules.

Test a call

Checks the request against your rules. Tick "really send it" to also hit the live API.

Test connection

Connects to the mailbox with the saved host/user/password and lists its folders.

Test sending

Authenticates against the SMTP server with the saved details and disconnects. It does not send a message - a test mail from a real mailbox still lands in somebody's inbox.

Test connection

Mints a real delegated token for the first allowlisted mailbox and reads its profile. This is the step that fails when the domain-wide delegation grant is missing, so run it before handing the connector to Claude.

Connector URL

Paste this into claude.ai → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Anyone with this URL can use the connector, so treat it as a password.

Save the connector to get its URL.
